The kids enjoyed Halloween thoroughly this year. Halloween has evolved quite a bit since I was a young lad. It seems like Halloween is now a week long event. Our church always has a trunk or treat on the Wednesday before Halloween. Many of the local churches and schools host “Fall Festivals” the week before and the week of Halloween. We went to a couple of those events and the kids had tons of candy and it wasn’t even Halloween yet. Our street is very Trick or Treater friendly so the kids got to go out one more time on the actual Holiday. Here are few pictures.

Here's a picture of all the Henriksen Grandkids. It's not a great picture because of a fog machine that had just gone off and the fact that there are 15 sugar filled kids trying to sit still for 30 seconds.

Koby is our third child that has worn the Lion costume. It was a bit tight, but he wouldn’t wear any of the other costumes. Koby probably enjoyed Halloween the most this year. He just started this new bad habit of waking up at the crack of dawn. He likes to roam around the house and play with toys or mess around in his brother’s closet. He’s really quite too and we usually don’t wake up until he makes a loud noise. One night around 3am I heard some noise downstairs and I went down and he had gotten on the kitchen counter and was eating Halloween candy.

I'll be glad when the candy is gone. However, we have been using the candy as an incentive for the boys the help us clean up or do some chores. One day Jennie had the boys help clean up the living room and Seth got to choose 2 pieces of candy for helping and as he was eating one piece of candy and unwrapping the other he said, “Oh man, I like cavities.”

K-Town Reunion

A few of our friends got together while we were in Utah. We were missing a few people, but it was fun catching up with everyone that could come. There were lots of kids running around!

Koby loved Utah! That could be because he had an unlimited supply of Cake, Cookies, Ice Cream, Chocolate Milk and Popsicles!

Here is an explanation of some of the pictures. Beau & Seth had their first T-Ball game this week.
Koby was a Hershey’s Kiss for Halloween. (I forgot to post this)
Everyone in our family has had a birthday since my last video.
My Mom and Dad came to visit and they watched our kids while Jennie and I went on a cruise. The cruise pictures will have to go on another video.
We went camping at the Camp Hulaco. The church bought a bunch of land and built a really nice youth summer camp. Anyone can rent out cabins or camp and do all the activities when it’s not being used. We had lots of fun doing the ropes course, canoeing and just having fun.
Jennie and Seth had a very unique birthday. When the big tornadoes and storms came through Alabama it knocked out power to all of North Alabama for 5 days. We couldn’t bake a cake for Seth or Jennie so we spread frosting on graham crackers. Later we got together with Jennie’s family we put a candle in some Little Debbie Cupcakes and Swiss Cake Rolls. The power outage ended up being really fun for us because we got to spend some time together as a family. The stars and night were brighter than ever. We built a fire outside every night and made a couple Dutch oven deserts. We played outside all day and wore the kids slap apart. We went to the creek and floated down the river. We just took it easy. I also got to help with some of the Tornado cleanup. There’s a couple pictures to make a note of. The bare curb with a couple branches is the before picture and the next picture you can’t even see the houses because we loaded up the curb so high. The next one would be the tractor up in the air. Yes trees are heavier than tractors. We learned this the hard way. We thought the tractor could hold up a tree while we cut it and after the cut was made the tractor went up. As for the song, I thought it was a good fit with all the tornado talk. We are blessed to be safe and alive. We are fortunate that we only had to live without power for a couple days.

I made a zip line in our backyard last week. I used the front fork of a kid’s bike to put it together. The rope needs to be tightened a little bit, but it works great and the kids love it.

Every blog has to have a picture of their child's wall art. This time Owen was the culprit. It makes me so angry, but at the same time you think it's the cutest thing in the world.

Our kids like to run outside each morning and pick up the newspaper. Today, Owen wanted to get it. As he was bringing it in, he looked at the front page and said, "Look, the Temple!"

I don't see an Angel Moroni on top of the shuttle, but i did think it was a good tribute to the last launch of Discovery.

My brother-in-law, David House, found this mini-bike in a trash pile on the side of the road. He took it home and got it running and we thought we would see if Beau or Seth could ride it. This is the best video that we got, but both Beau and Seth did ok. They aren't quite ready for a motorcycle yet. The second video isn't that great, but Koby enjoyed riding on it as well.

Here are a few pictures of some recent snow storms. We were lucky enough to have a white Christmas this year. We got about 2-3 inches on Christmas morning.

The next few pictures are of our most recent snow storm. We got between 7 and 12 inches around Huntsville. I didn't have to work on Monday or Tuesday due to road conditions and Beau didn't even have to go to school all last week. It doesn't look like much, but it was cold enough that it stuck around for over a week. We went sledding & skiing on the Grandparent’s street and we just had fun all week.

This photo was taken at our Stake Christmas Festival. It's not the best picture, but you have to take what you can get. Owen had just woken up a few minutes earlier and wouldn't smile. Beau looks like the boy that knows all the answers to all the questions on the "Mouth Of Babes" church video. I would post our picture from a few Christmases ago, but Jennie wouldn't like that. Let's just say that we both packed on a few pounds during the pregnancy years!

Here is a video of our annual fall beach trip. We went to Gulf Shores, AL and the beaches were nice and clean. However, they still had warnings about tar balls. I thought tar balls would be the size of volleyballs, but I guess they are usually the size of a pebble or marble. They also had John Deere tractors combing the beaches all day long. It was actually the cleanest that the beach has ever been. Thanks BP!

Here’s a video of some of the fun things that we’ve been doing lately. Below the video is a long explanation of what’s in the video if you are interested.

1. We went boating on the Tennessee River with David and Connie. The kids loved it and Jennie, who has never been waterskiing, got up on the first try and was a natural after that. I’d like to point out the greenery all along the river. It looks like the trees are just floating in the water.

2. I took the boys fishing at Aldridge Creek. We went fishing at a little hole that is about 5-8 feet deep. I wasn’t planning on getting wet, but I dropped the camera in 5 feet of water. I wasn’t attached to the camera (5 years old and 3.1 megapixel!), but I really wanted to get the memory card. I could barely see the camera and I decided to get wet just for the memory card. After that, the boys wanted to get wet. I always think creek water is dirty and nasty, but it just brought back memories of when I played in ponds, reservoirs, streams and rivers. We live less than a mile from this creek and I just imagined the boys coming here and playing around when they are older.

3. We went out to our cousin’s house for Labor Day. They have a couple acres of land and David has a dune buggy. They gave us permission to go nuts! We also had a blowup water slide for the kids and Mike enjoyed it the most.

I used this song because all the pictures and video were taken outside and of course we live in a beautiful world. Only two pictures in the video were taken inside. The walking stick was outside my kitchen window, but I brought it inside to show the boys. Owen was exhausted from playing outside so we brought him inside to sleep!

How to melt the heart of a mother!
The boys will often pick flowers for Jennie, but Beau found this rock on the playground at school and brought it home to Jennie. What's amazing is that the whole playground is covered in this riverbed rock and it's just crazy that he was able to find something shaped perfectly like a heart.

"When I was a little bitty baby my momma would rock me in the cradle, in them old cotton fields back home...."

This cotton field is right across the street from Jennie's old elementary school. Jennie used to play in these cotton fields with her siblings and their beagle dog, "Angus." They used to play a game with Angus in which the younger kids would have Angus on a leash and Chris would run down and hop over a few rows of cotton and then crouch down and hide. The kids would then release Angus and he would take off to try and find Chris and the kids would run after him. Cotton is taller than a grown beagle, so Angus would have to run and then hop up and down so he could see where he was going. In some places where the cotton was taller all you could see was his head or ears flying through the air as he tried to find Chris. While running full speed ahead, Angus would occasionally get enough air to hop laterally over the rows of cotton. When Angus would find Chris they would wrestle in the red dirt.

There are two things that I like about this story. #1 – I can just imagine the joy and freedom that dog must have felt running through the cotton fields.
#2. Even though this took place back in the 80’s and maybe early 90’s; this story makes me think that they lived back in the old south and that they didn’t have a care in the world.

Beau started kindergarten yesterday. He seemed to handle it very well until Jennie picked him up from school. He just ran into her arms and started crying. He got over it and today we let him walk to and from school with some older friends from church. There are all kinds of emotions that you feel as a parent and they can be just as overwhelming. You get a lump in throat when you think about it. You want your child to be protected from worldly influences. You want them to make friends and not to bully or be bullied. You hope that you’ve done enough to prepare them for school and you hope they will be smart and catch on to things that they are learning. We worry, but I know everything will be ok. (These pictures were taken with our low quality camera phone, I may post some more later)

BOWLING TOURNAMENT

A few coworkers and I recently won a bowling tournament. The event was sponsored by our local Realtors Association. I bowled a 177 at one point. It was fun and we all got $50 gift cards.

SAILING

I finally took the sailboat out to the river this past Saturday. It passed all the seaworthy tests with flying colors. There wasn’t any wind, so we use two paddles that worked just fine. Having a rudder really helped with steering the boat and it wasn’t wobbly like a canoe. We were able to cram in Me, Anthony, and my 3 oldest boys. I felt really “Kool” taking the boat out because everyone that was fishing on the side of the river was admiring it and one guy in a canoe had to take a picture of it. I was going to sell it, but I've decided to keep it and I'd like to name it. If you have any suggestions for a name I will take them.

Ahoy! I'm sailing! I bought a sail boat the other day. It's not very big and it's made of styrofoam and fiberglass, but it's definitely great! It was made in the early 70's when it was still "KOOL" to smoke. Yes, it has the KOOL cigarette logo on the sail, but I think it makes it look kind of vintage. I spent a whopping $25 for it and I couldn't be happier. I haven't taken it out yet, but I'll take pictures and video when I do. Having the sail boat made me think of the movie, "What About Bob?" With that said, I think I'm officially a sailor and I sail!

Seth with no training wheels!
Last year about this time, Seth got his first bike. Ever since then, Seth has loved to ride his bike everywhere. I put some training wheels on, but they didn't fit right and we had to rig them on his bike so they would work. Anyway, over time they kind of bent up because they were put on incorrectly. Over the past few weeks, Jennie and I noticed that Seth wasn't using the training wheels. Since Seth is turning 4 on Wednesday, we wanted to be able to say that Seth could ride his bike without training when he was three years old and yesterday we made it official. I didn't take them all the way off, but I bent them up so that they wouldn't even come close to touching the ground. I didn't even have to run behind him like all the fathers do when they are teaching their kids to ride a bike. Beau wasn't to happy about this, but he will learn eventually.

5K

Jennie didn't want me to post this, but I'm going to anyway. Jennie ran a 5k race on Saturday and she placed 3rd in the 20-29 girl division. I was proud of her because she has been running and working out like crazy since we started this competition. Right now she is running 4 miles a day and that's on top of the walks and other things that we do with the kids when I get home. She claims that she needs to lose a few more pounds, but I think she looks great!

Biggest Loser Competition

Jennie & I are participating in two Biggest Loser Competitions. One is with her family and one is with ScaleBack Alabama, a statewide weight loss competition. Anyway, the ScaleBack Competition ended this week and both Jennie & I have lost over 30 pounds each. I kind of lost control of my weight over the last year and I started out at 257 and the lowest I’ve seen so far is 216.4, which is only 6 pounds away from my marriage weight. The family competition ends on the 28th and we hope that either Jennie or I will win this competition. Each member of the family participating put up $60 and we have a $660 pot for the person who loses the highest percentage. Anyway, we will let you know who wins when it’s over. I may post before and after pictures when I’m at my goal weight. For now, I will just post my before pictures. As you can see I was uncomfortably fat!

I went skiing this week with two of my Brothers-in-law, Anthony & David. We went to the only ski resort in Alabama. Cloudmont consists of two rope pull lifts (only 1 was working when we went)that pull you up to the top of 2 - 1,000 foot runs. It takes a few minutes to get up and as you can see from this video it takes about 15 seconds to get down if you just tuck and go. I was skeptical at first, but I found ways to have fun. I jumped off some little 6 foot cliff and just had fun goofing off. It was David's first time and this was the perfect slope for beginners. Compared to Utah it's nothing, but I'll take what I can get.

The second is a family picture of everyone in the Robert Henriksen Family. All 29 1/2 (Kylie is pregnant) of us went to Pump It Up Party Zone for Robert's Birthday. They have an inflatable obstacle course, basketball court, jousting/boxing ring, and a slide. It was really fun and the kids enjoyed it too! It was also really tiring and we were all sweaty and pooped at the end of the night.

TORNADO
I don't really pay attention to the Tornado sirens anymore, but yesterday we had a tornado touch down about 1 block from where I work. It didn't last long and didn't cause too much damage, but I thought this picture was cool. It's a picture of this old Baptist church that has this giant mural of Jesus on it. One of my co-workers friends took this picture.

New House

A few months ago, I read an article in a magazine about building a shed out of old pallets. My brother-in-law, Anthony, had access to a bunch of solid oak pallets that would have been perfect for my new shed. I was really excited about building a nice shed for free. (I was planning on purchasing nails and some vinyl siding, but it’s basically a free shed!) Shortly after I got the pallets to my home, my dream of building an awesome shed was over. Jennie and I decided to buy a new home. Our current home is awesome and we love the yard and the home, but it’s simply too small for our large family. Things kind of worked out perfectly because we had a buyer for our home and we got a good deal on another home. Our new home is like ½ a mile away from our current home, but it’s closer to the elementary/middle school and to the grandparents. We will post pictures of the new house when we get settled in.

Soooooooo…..That leads me to the pictures below.

What do you do with 30+ pallets after you have no use for them?

Pallet Bonfire!

Anthony’s fiancé has some acreage at her parents house and they have a pond that is kind of dried up. We stacked up the pallets in this pond/bowl area. The flames were about 15-20 feet high and they were hot! It was really fun and the kids enjoyed it.

In this picture you can see how big the flames were. You can see my two Brothers-in-law stomping out some flames that were coming the side of the hill.

I call this photo, "The Hand From Hell!" I thought it looked like a hand.

If you can't see it, then maybe look for a hand wearing a mitten.

I just thought that a "Mitten From Hell" didn't sound as good.

Redneck Saturday

These past few Saturday's have been kind of rainy and gloomy, but we have made the most of them! Last Saturday we were hanging out on the porch at Connie and David's house and then we fired up an old riding mower and one thing led to another. We started out by pulling the kids around in an old Barbie Hot Wheel Jeep. We found the jeep in a garbage pile on the side of the road! David then pulled me in the Jeep and then I pulled him around on some cart thing. After messing around with the mower for a while, we realized that it could do Wheelies! We didn't get it on film, but when he first started doing the wheelies, David tipped the mower and fell on his back and the mower almost landed on him! Near the end of this video there is a clip of the boys and me running around in a warm summer rain. When it comes to that clip just watch Seth. He’s crazy! As for the song, I know it's cheesy, but I thought it was good for a Beastie Boys song!

“Sons of Thunder”
The Sons of Thunder Tour 2009 took place this past weekend. Robert and his father, Howard Henriksen, invited all the sons and sons-in-laws to go on a short excursion to Kirtland, Ohio. We rented a 15 passenger van and left at 4 in the morning on Friday and drove for 10 hours. Some may think we are crazy, but we left the next day around 1 pm and drove for another 10 hours to get back home. It was worth the long drive to only spend a short time in Kirtland. We did all kinds of things that will be explained in the picture below.

In the past few years, The Community of Christ started doing a "Basement to Bell Tower Tour." It's pretty cool because they take you underneath the temple and in all the little hiding places around the temple. They took us up the bell tower and they let us climb up a ladder and take a few pictures from the top of the temple. The picture below is taken behind the fence at the top of the temple. It's a picture of the cemetery across the street.

I took a few pictures of this friendly cat. It was following us around and laying on all of the tombstones. The below tombstone has Joseph and Emma's twins that died at birth. I think the cat is a direct descendant of Joseph Smith's cat!

Here's another video of all our little adventures. We had Koby's baby blessing in June and Mom, Dad, David, Sarah, and Cory's family all came down for that. I also included two pictures of my father-in-laws motorcycle after his accident. If you didn't already know, a drunk driver pulled out in front of him and he T-boned the car and flew over the car about 30ft. He broke his wrist, scapula, pelvis, some ribs, and tore some other things. He's doing a lot better, but he still hurts. For those of you who know Bryce Hansen, I bought the bike from him and then sold it to Robert about 1 year ago. I was kind of attached to the bike, but now I see what kind of damage 1 little accident can do to you.
I also messed up on one of the captions for one of the pictures. It was supposed to say, "Run Owen, It's going to get you!" on the picture where he's running away from the large ant. I didn't want to resave the video and upload it again, so now it says it on a picture that Beau & Seth are in. Anyway, enough about that enjoy the video!

Fiddle Pickin Fun!
We went to the Monster Truck show last weekend and we had tons of fun. I know that they have Monster Truck shows all over the country, but this one made me feel like I was mingling with full blooded Southern Country Bumpkins. The best part of the night was the ski-car races. They take off the rear wheels and then weld metal bumpers as the skis to the back. The cars are hard to control and sparks fly everywhere as they drive around the track. We had a good ‘ol time! I ran out of Monster Truck videos/pictures at the end of the video so I threw in a few pictures & video that went along with the music. YeeeHaaaa!

Here's my video for April. It starts with Seth scoring his one and only goal this soccer season. It was an extra special goal because it was our last game of the season and we were playing against our nieces, Emma and Eva. Beau didn't score a goal this season, but he did get two unintentional assists. The video also has pictures and video from our recent excursions to the park, camping, and Nashville. It's nice to have Cory and Alisha so close (2hr drive). We can drive up to their home after church and then have time to eat dinner and maybe go to the park and then drive back home. It's like a mini vacation and it's very refreshing to get away from everything for a while. I would recommend trying it if you live within 2 hours of someone that you haven't seen in a while.

The Bird's and the Tree's!

We had some severe thunderstorms hit our neighborhood last week. Our neighbor directly across the street from us wasn't so lucky with the storms. Her giant tree fell and totaled her SUV. Later that night we were coming home and I noticed that her interior lights were still on in her SUV. I thought it would be funny to go and knock on her door and let her know that her lights were on in her car! Also, I called the newspaper and they came out and took a picture and it ended up on the front page.

As I was mowing the lawn last week, I noticed that we have a Robin that built its nest in Beau and Seth's window. I think it will be fun for the boys to watch the new baby birds' right outside their window. However, I am worried that the new birds will be noisy and wake the boy's up in the morning.

We aren't sure what to name our new baby boy that is due sometime next month or possibly early May.

We had a rare snowfall a few weeks ago. While the kids were playing in the snow, I was throwing Owen in the air. He loved it. It almost looks like he's walking on the telephone wires.

Owen fell in the bathtub last Saturday and he ended up getting 5 stitches right in the crease of his double chin! I guess we've been lucky that this is our first time getting stitches as a result of an accident. I think when I was a kid I had stitches once a year!

Here's the towel that I grabbed when I took him out of the tub.

He was mad as a hornet when we tried to put these bandages on him. The nurses were trying hard, but he ripped off three bandages with lidocaine on them. The bandage had to be on for a while and it would help numb the cut before they numbed it with the needle. We finally got this bandage to stick.

If you look close, you can see the 5 stitches in his double chin. We never realized how many times Owen hits his chin until he had stitches. It was amazing, it seriously seemed like he hit it everyday. One time he fell and he reopened the cut and broke one of the stitches. He’s just learning to walk and he’s a little clumsy.

The Henriksen Family has started a tradition of going to the beach on the first weekend in November. This year we went to Gulf Shores, AL and camped for a few days. The water was kind of cold this year. The kids couldn't handle the water, but the adults could kind of get used to it. 4 OF A KIND!

4 Of a Kind is better than 3 of a kind. In poker it's not always easy to get 4 of a kind. For the Winward family, it's a little easier! We had an ultrasound and the doc said he was 99% sure that it was another boy. We are excited and I think we will have a lot of fun with 4 boys running around the house. I'm also excited that we don't have to buy a bunch of new clothes and pink things! We are also ensuring that the Winward name will be carried on for generations to come!

PREGO

The rumors are true. Jennie is pregnant again! The due date is May 18th. We are excited and yes it was planned. When the baby is born, we will have 4 kids ages 4 and under! We had a doctors appointment the other day and we got a pretty good look between the legs and both jennie and I thought it looked like a girl, but the Doctor would not say because it was still to early to predict. We would be happy with a boy or a girl.

A few weeks ago, the Huntsville Stars tried to beat a world record for most first pitches before a game. The old record was around 8,000 first pitches and I think we threw over 11,000. They let the community come in and throw a first pitch and take part in the world record. Anyway, me and the boys threw a first pitch and we got a special collectors ball that says we participated in the world record. I can finally say that I helped break a world record.

Cory and I broke out some stencils and spray paint. I had previously made a stencil of Cory's face. After spray painting it, he wanted to take it home. So, like any Southerner would do, we broke out the chain saw and cut his picture out. It was the perfect ending to a Southern Sunday!

It's official; I completed my last day of school yesterday! I completed the MBA program in 17 months with the help of my wife and lots of prayers. I was scheduled to be done in December, but I doubled up with my last 5 classes so that I could finish 3 months early. Not to brag, but I should also graduate with Honors! It was hard and I hope the hard work will pay off!

Yes it's true, Jennie was called to be the Relief Society President in our Ward this past Sunday! It's pretty crazy because we didn't think we could cram anything else into our busy lives.
We thought it was funny because it may appear as though we have things together on the outside, but we really don't! We struggle and work hard to pay for gas (and sometimes food!) like the rest of you! We'll need your prayers!

Here is the newest addition to the Bart Winward Family. His name is Owen Thomas Winward. He was 8lb 10oz, 20 inches long and 4 weeks early. Jennie had a C-section because the baby and Jennie were measuring off the scale. The baby and Jennie are doing fine. Jennie is still quite sore from the incision and that pain may last up to two weeks. Some good news: It's only been a week and Jennie has lost 25 pounds! After the C-Section, the doctor said that it was the most amniotic fluid that he has ever seen. It just kept coming and coming. Owen must have been swimming laps in her belly!

If you have ever prepared a catfish then you know that they are a lot different than a trout or some other simple fish. There skin is as tough as leather and they have little barbs that will poke you if you're not careful! In the above pictures I butchered Filet #1, as you can see, and I did a decent job on Filet # 2.

For about a year now, we have told Beau that Uncle Petie (Anthony) would take him fishing when he got home from his mission. Anthony got home on Wednesday and we took them fishing on Saturday. I home teach a member that has two fish ponds. The first pond, which I forgot to take a picture of, is really big and it is mainly stocked with bass and bluegill. You can take small boat out on the first pond and you have to work to catch a fish. The second pond is a lot smaller, but the fishing is much better because it's stocked with a bunch of catfish. It was almost like we were at a fish farm.

“Chunk a Monk”

The other day I made chocolate milkshakes after the boys had gone to bed. Beau and Seth had milk for dinner and they didn’t finish drinking it. We put their cups in the fridge so they could have it for later. I decided to use this milk for the milkshakes because I thought it would end up being dumped down the drain anyway. Sometimes when you make milkshakes you get little ice boogers in the ice-cream. As we were drinking it, we kept getting these little chewy boogers. At first I had a hard time figuring out what it was. I then realized what we had for dinner! Beau had put a few pieces of macaroni and cheese in his cup. I didn' t want the ice cream and milk to go to waste, so I decided to finish the milkshake anyway.

I guess it gives new meaning to “CHUNK-a-MONK”

Dad’s Favorite Things

When I was a kid, I always wanted a trampoline and a motorcycle. My father was against both because of the possibility of injury. I don’t think I was deprived as a child, but I guess I really needed a motorcycle and a trampoline. Well, as of last weekend, I now have two of Dad’s favorite things. Jennie and I bought a trampoline at a garage sale and I’ve had a motorcycle for 2 years. The good news is that the trampoline has the safety netting so Beau & Seth won’t fall off and Alabama requires all motorcycle riders to wear a helmet.

Anyway, Dad despised the scooter that Tom gave us, even though it only maxed out at 25 mph going downhill! He always worried and had a furrowed brow as we jumped on the neighbor’s trampoline and as we rode up and down the street on the scooter.
I realized that even though I am 1500 miles away from Dad, he still worries and stresses out. The only way I could stress Dad out anymore is to jump on the trampoline with my motorcycle!

Our family here in Alabama calls Seth, "Satchimo". The other day my Brother-in-law decided to call him "Sasquatch" instead of "Satchimo". Right after he said that, I decided that it shouldn't be Sasquatch is should be "Sethsquatch". I came to work the next day and created two images of "Sethsquatch". The first one is the best.

When I came home from Utah I didn't shave for two weeks. I liked the look of a beard, but I couldn't handle it. I felt like my chest hair was connecting with my beard hair and I was turning into sasquatch. When I shaved it off, I had a little fun with the Fu-Manchu and Sidburns.
I may grow it out again in 2009 when they have the world beard championships in Anchorage, Alaska. They have the championship every two years. This years championship was held in London. I think we should go to Anchorage in 2009 for the Beard Championships.

FAT FAT FAT

We went to Cici’s all you can eat Pizza this weekend. I don’t like to go to these types of restaurants because of all the greasy and overweight people. I feel extra fat when I eat too much food. Anyway, I went to shake some parmesan cheese onto my pizza and as I was shaking it, my love handle jiggled a little bit. It made the whole experience of eating at the all you can eat restaurant 10 times worse. I felt like I was getting bigger and bigger every bite I took after my love handle jiggled. It reminds me of a quote from Tommy Boy. Tommy: "Does this suit make me look fat?" Richard: "No No No your face does!"

This is our home. We have really cleaned up the front and back yard since we bought it. We've actually transformed the whole house since we bought it. I will post the "before" pictures when I get around to it.

This is our Garden. It's growing like crazy. The birds love the tomatoes and the bugs love the squash. We planted 8 strawberry plants, but the birds played offense better than us. We tried nylon mesh netting that had holes so small you could barely fit a toothpick through them. The birds still pecked and pecked at the strawberries. It was really annoying.
